The decision ends an almost six month-long heated debate that saw parliament back flip on a decision for incoming government members to use its existing Prado car fleet.
To date, around 53 Prado vehicles assigned to former government members remain unaccounted for.
Reacting to the budget announcement Angelina Sarmento, from the People’s Liberation Party (PLP), welcomed the vote, saying it would end parliamentarians traveling by public microlet, motorbike and private vehicle to conduct official State work.
According to state transcripts the list of new vehicles include: Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Dakar 4X2 A / T Price $ 35,400, Pajero Sport 4X2 Ultimate AT Price $ 36,933, Pajero Sport 4x2 Ultimate Quartz White Pearl AT Price $ 37,133, and Pajero Sport Dakar 4x4 A / T price $ 44,200.
