Mangalheas – who was responding to questions about the continued stalled government program and incomplete government cabinet – said the new Alliance for Change and Progress (AMP) government had strong “political power” to carry out its campaign promises over the next five years.
"I hear that there will be an early election again, but it is not true," Mangalhaes said.
Mangalheas said he “guaranteed” there would be no early election as AMP held majority power.
Mangalhaes argued the new cabinet would soon be complete with Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak and President Francisco “Lo Olo” Guterres agreeing on new appointments.
