The Integrated Crisis Management Centre (CIRC) recorded 8 existing COVID-19 cases. In contrast, 20 patients have been released from hospitals where they had been isolated for treatment, the CIRC said.
The figures are in line with a downward trend in new cases around the glove which has raised hopes that the virus may be easing in Timor-Leste.
To maintain the trend people are asked to keep vigilant, social distancing by at least one metre, washing hands regularly and thoroughly and wearing a face mask outside the home, CIRC spokesperson Dr Rui Maria de Araujo said.
