The content of her letter says that, the judicial System in Timor Leste is very weak and some of the presecutors also cannot speak Portuguese. 

Speaking on Friday (27/1) in his office, Duarte Tilman said, Timor Leste ‘s official Language is Portugese and Tetum, so like or dislike  must to learn.

“But Emilia said that, the judges in the court cannot speak poruguese I think   it is not reasonable, he said.

Duarte said  some  politics leader said that Tribunal just make the political decision only, and  told that the court is still weak, if identify weak must to  improve them and  invest  to strengthening the judicial system in Timor Leste, don’t just speak only that the Judges are weak.

“Talk about the weaken of judges is from where? He said.  

The lawyer had submitted the appeals to Dili District Court

 The lawyer of the Suspect Emilia Pires José Pedro Camões said they had submitted the appeals to Dili District Court, in order that can distribute to Supreme court.

 “We had been received the documents, we already submitted these document to Dili District Court, they send or not, that is the Court‘s working,’’ he said.
