CANBERRA: Australia will launch its new Pacific Engagement Visa from 28 March, opening the door to 3,000 people from Timor-Leste and Pacific countries to settle permanently in Australia every year, according to a notice on Thursday on Australia’s Department of Home Affairs website.

DILI: Timor-Leste’s Ambassador to Singapore and Secretary State of Professional Training met last week to open comment on their proposal to start a job program in Singapore, clarifying that recruitment protocol used in existing labour mobility programs will apply.
