The tiny southeast Asian country, known as an oil-rich sultanate of less than half million people, said it had jobs in agriculture, hospitality and construction for Timorese citizens.
Ambassador Guterres told reporters that information about the new work program, including minimum salary, would depend on an agreement yet to be signed with the government of Timor-Leste.
Guterres said he had spoken to President of the Republic Jose Ramos-Horta in person at president’s Palace who backed the program.
He said employers from Brunei Darussalam would facilitate a training program in Timor-Leste to prepare and select staff from.
No further details about the work program were revealed.
