Xanana Gusmao, President of the AMP party, has endorsed Ruak to take on the position.
Arao Noe, Minister for the National Congress for Timorese Reconstruction said the coalition party would announce when all government positions had been agreed.
Noe said he was “ready to serve” as President of the National Parliament.
"I am not candidate myself but I am ready to serve as President of the National Parliament," Noe said in National Parliament on Monday.
The recent May 12 election called to end months of deadlock in the country, where there had been a minority government led by Prime Minister Mari Alkatiri’s Fretilin party since July 2017.
Fretilin had protested about alleged irregularities during the vote, but the appeal court rejected the complaint.
The AMP, a coalition of the National Congress for Timorese Reconstruction (CNRT), People’s Liberation Party and Khunto party, won 34 of the 65 seats in parliament in recent May 12 election.
