DILI: Timor-Leste’s new coalition government will be sworn in at sacred Mount Ramelau, according to a suggestion by Khunto Party Advisor Jose dos Santos Namori Bukar.
Fidelis Mangalhaes Leite, the Chairman of the Alliance for Change and Progress (AMP), said the party would take the oath out of respect for Timorese culture.
"When we make oaths we wish our willingness to serve our country to tie up what our ancestors left behind," Mangalhaes told reporters on Monday.
