16 Names Make it to Final List of Presidential Candidates

DILI: The final list of candidates for the 19 March presidential election was announced on Thursday by the Court of Appeals, with 16 names making the list for Timor-Leste’s top seat.

The candidates have from 2-16 March to officially campaign for people’s vote.

The presidential candidates are (1) Jose Manuel Ramos Horta,  (2) Francisco Guterres Lu Olo, (3) Armanda Berta dos Santos, (4) Lere Anan Timur, (5) Isabel da Costa Fereira, (6) Angela Freitas, (7) Martinho Gusmao, (8) Virgilio Guterres, (9) Anacleto Fereira, (10) Hermes da Rosa Correia Barros, (11) Antero Benedito da Silva, (12) Mariano Asanami Sabino, (13) Milena Pires, (14) Costancio Pinto, (15) Felisberto Araujo Duarte and (16) Rogerio Tiago Lobato.
