Lu Olo and Xanana
DILI:Former President and leader of the National Congress for Timorese Reconstruction (CNRT) party Xanana Gusmao will meet with President of the Republic Francisco Lu Olo Guterres on Friday for a planning meeting, Duarte Nunes the head of CNRT said on Sunday, following the political coalition collapse and resignation of Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak.
Gusmao is expected to lead a new alternative government alliance made-up up of CNRT, the Democratic Party, KHUNTO, the United Party for Development and Democracy, Frente Mudanca and the Timorese Democratic Union.
Representatives from Gusmao’s new six-party alternative alliance are also expected to attend the meeting, Nunes said.
