DILI:A senior Timor-Leste health official said on Friday that one health worker at Vera Cruz hospital had been infected by the coronavirus.

Integrated Crisis Management Centre (CIGC) spokesperson Dr Sergio Lobo told a news conference the unidentified health worker had been treating COVID-19 patients.

At present, all family members and people who had been contact with the health worker were being tested for the virus in a laboratory in Darwin, Australia, Dr Lobo said. Test results are expected early next week.
