The government approved the renewal for another 30 days after a presentation by its expert health panel at the Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday,
The Council of Ministers also declared the sanitary fence around Dili will remain to 29 September, as part of measures to rein in the pandemic.
Sanitary fences in Covalima, Ermera and Bauacu that restrict movement in and out of municipalities for people who are not vaccinated against COVID-19, will be removed.
Timor-Leste has had a total of 19,206 coronavirus cases and 108 deaths, according to health data.
Across the country, new cases totalled 81 on Wednesday, below 100 for a week. The majority of new cases were in Dili, where there were 46 new cases reported and in Baucua, 24. One new death was unfortunately reported on the same day.
