Bolloré Ports said on Wednesday that it was investigating the reliability of its operating systems for the management of land and sea operations as well as the handling equipment and coordination of its new team.
The Timor-Leste authority said its infrastructure and teams demonstrated “total efficiency” during the trial from 14 to 17 September.
The company said that its handling equipment gave “full satisfaction”, enabling its team to load and unload almost 1,000 containers on board the two ships during the test phase.
The tests come less than a month before the launch of operations at the new Tibar Bay port.
“Thanks to the investments made in the construction of this new infrastructure, the deep-water port of Tibar will become a world-class port open to all lines,” said Olivier De Noray, Managing Director of Ports and Terminals at Bolloré Ports.
