Earlier this month, Araujo said TLKF was struggling to find the money to fund his athletes South East Asian Karate Championship campaign.
The Secretary General said Timor-Leste’s National Olympic Committee and teammates at TLKF had ran a campaign to cover travel costs for the two athletes.
Qualifying for the championship is something that most never imagined possible for the Timorese athletes, TLKF said.
The two-day South East Asian Karate Federation Championship kicks off on 24 April in Bangkok.
